World Bridge Games: India Seniors reach final

India defeated Sweden in the semifinals to set up the summit clash against the USA.

The Indian senior team reached the final of the 16th World Bridge Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

India defeated Sweden 195-129.

The Indian team, comprising Kamal Mukherjee, Vibhas Todi, Badal Das, Pranab Bardhan, Arun Bapat, and Ravi Goenka, will take on the USA during the summit clash.


India went 108-92 up at the halfway mark. But Sweden fought back to reduce the gap 127-153. But India always stayed ahead and won 195-129.


Earlier, India had trounced Canada in the quarterfinals and Scotland in the pre-quarterfinals.

On the other hand, the USA pipped France 160-154 to set up the summit clash with India.
