What is a bogey?
In golf, a bogey is a score that is one stroke over par for a particular hole. For example, if a hole is a par 4, making a score of 5 on that hole would be considered a bogey.
It indicates that the player took one more stroke than the standard number of strokes expected to complete the hole.
