Isroop was under pressure from the start as her Cameroonian opponent won the first two points of the bout with two Yukos after two side throws.

But the young Indian made an impressive comeback in the final minute to score a brilliant 90-degree throw on a counter to score Waza-ari.

Georgika Moune tried to make another big move, but Ishroop held on to her lead and won the bout. She will now fight for the bronze medal at 7:30 PM IST.
