Hello and a warm welcome to The Bridge's coverage of the 2024-25 Hockey India League.

It's time for the penultimate match of the season – the third place play-off between Tamil Nadu Dragons and Soorma Hockey Club.

Both teams looked extremely strong on paper pre-season but endured their fair share of struggles. While the Soorma made a late surge to qualify for the semi-finals, the Dragons have run out of steam in the last few matches.

In fact, the Dragons are on a run of three-straight losses. Can they overcome that tonight?
