It was a long day for India at the Odense Stadion. 7 Matches - 6 Wins. Not a bad start by any means. It all started with Kidambi Srikanth showing the exit door to fellow countryman Sai Praneeth and the Indians were then on a roll.

Apart from Praneeth, the only real blip on the day for India was the men's doubles pair of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy. PV Sindhu's return went as planned, Satwik-Chirag did what they do the best. Kapila-MR defeated a much higher ranked pair, Sameer Verma did the same as well before Kapila and Sikki staged a terrific comeback to end the day on a high for India.
