After his earlier defeat to Malaysia, Putul Sonowal's second loss means he can no longer finish on top of Section D and is out of medal contention at the Commonwealth Games 2026. He will still play his final sectional match tomorrow, which will also bring an end to his Commonwealth Games debut.
