Ashwini and Sumeeth fail to win...this is a huge upset

A shocking loss for India as veteran doubles players Ashwini and Sumeeth Reddy bow out of the Mixed Doubles event in the first round itself, losing 21-18, 21-16 to the English pair of Jessica Pugh and Callum Hemming.

This brings India's campaign in the Mixed Doubles to a very early end.

What makes this loss worse is that perhaps this was the last time we were seeing Ashwini Ponnappa in action at the CWG.
