Women's Doubles: Treesa Jolly-Gayatri Gopichand make a strong start

Another Indian women’s doubles pair, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, are in action against USA’s Lauren Lam and Allison Quynh Lee.

The Indian duo have made a strong start, taking the opening game 21-15. They have carried that momentum into the second game and currently lead 10-4.

Treesa and Gayatri also have another reason to celebrate. The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports announced the National Sports Awards 2025 on Tuesday, with the Arjuna Award set to be given to 17 meritorious sportspersons. The Indian women’s doubles pair feature among the awardees.
