Sameer Verma into the main draw with two wins in qualifying round

Sameer Verma takes a tight three-game (16-21, 21-16, 21-15) win over former world youth champion Kuo Kuan Lin of Chinese Taipei in qualifying round two to book his place in the main draw.

Earlier, he took a comfortable straight game (21-9, 21-15) win over Howard Shu of USA in the first qualifying round match.
