D Gukesh is qualified for the Candidates 2024 through FIDE Circuit rating

Another chess prodigy, 17-year old D Gukesh is qualified for the FIDE Candidates as the best non-qualified rated player from the FIDE Circuit rating.

He is the third Indian male player to qualify for the Candidates after Praggnanandhaa and Vidit Gujrathi. R Vaishali is also qualified for the women's candidates.
