There goes the hooter and that's the end of Mumbai City FC's dream of consecutive AFC Champions League victories. They gave it their all, but multiple misses in front of the goal mean that they walk away from this contest with an empty hand.

Al Jazira were clearly the better side in the first half and they reaped rewards via a well-taken penalty by Ali Mabkout following a handball by Mehtab Singh and that was enough to see them through.

That's the first win of their 2022 AFC Champions League for the Abu Dhabi based Al Jazira.
