Tennis: Yuki-Dhakshineshwar loses as India ends men's doubles campaign without a medal after 28 years

India's last remaining pair Yuki Bhambri and Dhakshineswar Suresh bow out in the quarterfinals, losing in straight games, 6(5)-7, 3-6, to Chinese Taipei's Ho Chenjui and Hsu Yu-hsiou.

The duo lost the first set, which went to a tie-break, before the Taipei duo pulled away in the second with an early break, ending India's men's doubles campaign.

Earlier, the Indian pair of Anirudh Chandrasekar and N. Sriram Balaji had also faced a quarterfinal exit, meaning that India will not have a men's doubles medal since 1998.

Men's Doubles has always been a strong suit of India and has won eight medals in the last 6 editions, with four Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze.
