Women's Boxing World C'ship In Numbers: Saweety Boora

In June 2018, India's Saweety Boora was the only Indian boxer to win gold at the Umakhanov Memorial Tournament in Kaspiysk, Russia after she unanimously defeated home favourite Anna Anfinogenova to bag the 75kg title in the tournament. In addition to this, Saweety is a former World Championship silver medalist. In the women's world Boxing Championships, Saweety will be representing India in the 75kg category. One of the foremost things to know about her is that she plies her trade not just in Boxing but in kabaddi as well and has represented her state in the team sport as well.
