Delhi Boxer arrested for triple murder, family conflict leads to tragedy
A 20-year-old Delhi boxer killed his parents and sister over humiliation and property disputes, police reveal.
Arjun, a 20-year-old state-level boxer, confessed to killing his parents and sister in Delhi’s Neb Sarai area on December 4, 2024.
The victims—Rajesh Kumar (51), Komal (46), and Kavita (23)—were found stabbed to death at their residence.
Arjun, a second-year student and silver medalist in boxing, initially reported the crime, claiming he found his family dead upon returning from a morning walk.
However, inconsistencies in his statements led the police to suspect him. During interrogation, Arjun admitted to premeditating the murders due to long-standing family conflicts.
Arjun revealed he felt humiliated and neglected, particularly after his father scolded and physically reprimanded him in public.
Tensions escalated when he learned his father intended to transfer property to his sister. Overcome with anger and resentment, he planned the killings on his parents’ wedding anniversary.
On the morning of the crime, Arjun used a knife from the house to fatally stab his family members while they slept.
Police found no signs of forced entry, theft, or ransacking, which corroborated Arjun’s confession. Arjun is now in custody as legal proceedings commence.
