P.V. Sindhu, the top seed, take down Dai Wang of China in the women's singles (WS) on Court 1.

Lakshya Sen, another top seed, was up against Meiraba Luwang Maisnam in the men's singles (MS). Priyanshu Rajawat [2] faced Nguyen Hai Dang of Vietnam in an exciting MS matchup. 

In mixed doubles (XD), Sathish Kumar Karunakaran [2] and Aadya Variyath were up against the Thai pairing of Dechapol Puavaranukroh [6] and Supissara Paewsampran, while Dhruv Kapila [5] and Tanisha Crasto faced Loo Bing Kun and Ho Lo Ee of Malaysia.

In women's doubles (WD), Tanisha Crasto [1] teams up with Ashwini Ponnappa played against Priya Konjengbam [5] and Shruti Mishra, while Treesa Jolly [2] and Gayatri Gopichand Pullela lock-horns with Go Pei Kee [6] and Teoh Mei Xing of Malaysia
