The 21-year-old Indian shuttler Sankar Subramanian registered the biggest win of his career to beat the world no.2 Anders Antonsen of Denmark in the second round of the Swiss Open on Tuesday.
Sankar came from behind to humble his opponent in the decider, 18-21, 21-12, 21-5, and book a spot in the quarterfinal. He will next face the Christo Popov of France on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, India's top women's doubles pair Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand also entered the quarterfinals of this BWF Super 300 Tournament with a straight-game victory over Germany's Amelie Lehmann and Selin Hubsch.
The Indian pair won fairly easily with the scoreline reading 21-12 21-8.

In the men's singles second round, Toma Popov beat India's Priyanshu Rajawat 21-15 21-17 in 47 minutes. Rajwat had earlier beaten local player Tobias Kuenzi in straight games in the opening round.
Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikant fell tofourth-seededd Chinese Li Shi Feng 15-21, 11-21.
