PV Sindhu set to get married in December

The 29-year-old Indian shuttler will tie the knot with IT professional Venkata Datta Sai in Udaipur on December 22.

PV Sindhu is India's two-time Olympic medal winning badminton player. 

Two-time Olympic medal-winning Indian badminton player PV Sindhu is set to get married on December 22 in Udaipur, reported Sportstar. The reception will be held in Hyderabad on December 24.

World No. 18 Sindhu, who won an Olympic silver in 2016 and bronze in 2021, ended her two-year wait for a BWF World Tour title at Syed Modi India International last week. The tournament was the final event on the World Tour in 2024. Sindhu holds the distinction of being the only Indian woman to win two Olympic medals. 

Overall, Sindhu won five World Tour titles. 

The 29-year-old shuttler, who won the BWF World Tour Finals in 2018 and World Championships in 2019, will tie the knot with Hyderabad-based IT professional Venkata Datta Sai, currently working with Posidex Technologies as the Executive Director.

The ceremonies for the wedding will start on December 20. With the BWF World Tour season for 2025 set to begin in January at the Malaysia Open Super 1000, Sindhu is expected to return to the tour on time.
