With this loss, India's chances of winning a medal in this tournament are now over. However, they will still have a couple of matches for the 5th to 8th placement position in the coming days.
India had a horrible start to the quarterfinal after Pranay Shettigar lost the first match (1-11) to Indonesia's Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah in the men's singles where he managed to win only one point.
Two more defeats later followed this, firstly the men's doubles pair of Bhargav Ram Arigela and Viswa Tej Gobburu, and then for Tanvi Sharma in women's singles, giving a 33-17 lead to Indonesia.
Indian women's doubles pair of Taarini Suri and Shravani Walekar and then the mixed doubles pair of Shravani and Bhavya Chhabra tried to fight back for India but they only managed to reduce the deficit by 3 points.

Indian team decided to field the same lineup for the second half of the tie, but couldn't find a way to overcome this big deficit and lost the match by a massive difference of 18 points, 92-110.
The Indian team will now take on the United States of America in the 5-8th place playoff match tomorrow, hoping for a better performance and finishing the tournament on a high.
