BWF World Junior Championships: India lose 1-3 to Malaysia- Highlights

Anupama Upadhyaya won her women's singles match but there were defeats for Indians all around on Thursday.

Junior world number 3 Anupama Upadhyaya was the sole Indian to win her fixture vs Malaysia (BAI)

India lost 1-3 to Malaysia in the quarterfinals of the 9th to 16th classification places after finishing second in their group. Anupama Upadhyaya won her women's singles match, but there was defeat in store for Indians in all the other matches.

India will next take on Germany in the 13th-16th classification match on Friday.

India will next take on Germany to determine their final position. That match will take place on Friday. 

The 12th place finish from last time cannot be matched. If India beat Germany, they will play the 13th-14th match. Their best finish of 4th remains a bridge too far. From today, Anupama's win was the only highlight of the day. Tune in again tomorrow.
