Indian athletes were in action after a subdued first day of the National Open Athletics Championships 2024.
Annu Rani featured in the women's javelin throw while the likes of Nithya Ramaraj and Tejas Shirse were in the hurdles.

Gold - Stalin Jones - Services - 6856 Points
Silver - Yaman Deep - Ralways - 6737 Points
Bronze - Kushal Mohite - Maharashtra - 6699 Points
Lalu clocked 10.46s in the men's 100m to stun a field of NR holder Manikanta Hoblidhar, 200m NR holder Amlan, Inter State Champion Gurindervir Singh and clinch the gold medal.
With a timing of 53.77, Aishwarya Mishra won the women's 400m while U20 World Championships medalist Rupal clocked a poor 54.63 to finish fourth.
