The day started with the men's compound team winning the gold medal. The World U21 record-holder Indian team of Kushal, Manav Jadhao, and Ganesh Mani doubled their delight by winning the gold medal.
Incredible comeback by Basanti
Basanti had a tough outing in the women's recurve final as she lost the first two sets against You-Jhou Fong of Chinese Taipei but then she made an outstanding comeback to win the third set with a Perfect 30.
She continued this momentum and won the final two sets, scoring a 29 each, and clinched the gold medal. Earlier, she had won a silver medal in the mixed team category, partnering with Vishnu.
Basanti was the only female recurve archer to win a medal at the event, as the women's recurve team could not make it to the medal rounds, losing to eventual champions Uzbekistan in the quarterfinal.
In the men's recurve, the third-seeded Vishnu Chaudhary got better (6-2) of fellow teammate Rahul in an all-Indian final to clinch the Individual gold medal.
Rahul and Vishnu, earlier, combined with Goldi Mishra clinched the men's recurve team title as well. They outclassed (5-1) the Chinese team in the final.
