What one can say about a youngster, who is all of 16 years, and has 59 podium finishes and 13 National championship titles in the grueling field like motor sports? A true prodigy could be the right word and that aptly fit Yash Aradhya, a rising star from Bengaluru, who is setting the track ablaze with his exploits.

The passion for racing has been in his blood ever since he took up the sport at the age of nine as a Go-Karting rookie and he has nurtured it with commitment, dedication and hard work under the guidance of his mentors. Akbar Ebrahim, the racing trainer, fitness coach Ramji Srinivasan, and nutrition expert Ryan Fernando. It is no mean achievement that Yash Aradhya has been able to carve a niche for himself in a span of seven years in the challenging landscape of Indian Motorsports under the platform created by JK Tyre Motorsports and FMSCI.

The racing bug bit Yash, whenas a kid, began lapping up al F1 action on TV. "I made up my mind then, that I would become a Formula driver one day’’, says Yash. His father, Sujith Aradhya, an advertising professional, encouraged his son to take up the sport by putting him for a professional training in Go-Karting, which was the first step to the world of motorsports.

Debuting under the guidance of Akbar Ebrahim in the JK Tyre MMS Rotax Max Karting Championship in 2012, Yash, finished as the Vice-Champion Rookie in Micro category, and from then on Yash has won multiple championship titles. 

The big break came in 2014 when Yash won his first National Championship title in the JK Tyre FMSCI Rotax Max National Karting Championship in Micro Category. Yash was also honoured with the “Best Karter of the Year 2014”. He was nominated by the Federation of Motorsports Clubs of India (FMSCI) to represent India in the CIK FIA Academy Trophy, a Global Karting event held in Spain, Belgium and France. Yash also participated in the Rotax Max Asia Series, where he finished 4th in the championship.

Between 2015-2016, Yash participated in the WSK series in Italy and in 2017; he was nominated to represent India in the World Finals, a global karting event in Portimao in Portugal.

The next season (2017) was the best one for Yash. He won four championship titles and made 33 podium finishes. Yash won his National Championship title in the MMS FMSCI Rotax Max National Karting Championship in Junior Max Category along with a graduation to the entry level Single Seater Formula 4 series in India with the Formula LGB.

Yash participated in the Formula Junior Series and in the debut season, he was crowned the Vice Champion .He also took part in the JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship in the Formula LGB category and was crowned the National Champion – Rookie in his debut year. Yash also took part in the MRF MMSC FMSCI National Racing Championship in the Formula 1300 category and won in the in open category and Rookie category.

Yash made a switch to the powerful Formula 4 cars with a debut in the JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship with the Formula 4 BMW car last year and MRF MMSC FMSCI National Racing Championship with the Formula 4 1600 car and in both he excelled well with a top 5 finish in the championship and 6 podiums for that year.

Yash, who completed his 10th standard board examination from the Bishop Cotton High School, is now all set to move into the big league and he is determined to pursue his career in the Single Seater and for the 2019 season and he is looking forward to dominate the Formula 4 category in India and move to the next league in Europe. Yash has been fortunate to be supported by the super brands like Aquaguard, Cycle Pure, Bharat Forge and Lakshya. Yash is now looking at more support from corporates to fuel his passion for racing and bring laurels to the country and to all those, who put their faith on him

Racing and training in Europe has sharpened the skills of Yash. "I have a better control and now familiar with the tracks there”, says the young talent. He also follows other sports and is a big fan of Roger Federer.

"Yes to get the next level, Yash needs lot of support and we are looking forward to sign up with some good clubs possibly in Europe and help Yash to realize his big dream", says Sujith Aradhya, , who shares his son’s passion.
