Cricketers who played other sports

Sir Ian Botham a talented footballer, believing he was better at cricket, he chose cricket for his full-time career. Even so, he played football as a Center Back from 1978 to 1985 for Yeovil Town and Scunthorpe United.

Sir Vivian Richards represented Antigua and Barbuda in the qualifiers for the 1974 World Cup in football, he was a part of the cricket World Cup-winning squad in 1975 and 1979. The batsman had shifted his whole focus to cricket after his team’s poor performance in the World Cup (qualifying stage).

Jonty Rhodes was one of the greatest fielder to have ever in the gentleman’s game. He was also part of Hockey team chosen to be a part of 1992 Olympics for South Africa’s National Hockey squad but the country didn’t qualify for the tournament,

Ellyse Perry is Australia's most recognizable female athlete. She has 5 Twenty20 World Cup trophy to her name and one ODI World Cup. She has also represented her country 18 times in football scoring goal at the 2011 World Cup. She also represented Central Coast Mariners in W-League.

Before representing India for the cricket, Chahal represented India as a professional Chess player from 1997 to 2003. In 2002, he won the National Under-11 Championship. The following year, Chahal represented India at the World (Under-12) Championship in Greece.
