It was in 2012, that India and Australia locked horns in the final of the Under-19 ICC Cricket World in Australia itself. Once again the two heavyweights will cross each other's path in the same fixture but in a neutral venue. Unmukt Chand scored a brilliant century to steer India to a comfortable win and win their third U-19 title, can Prithvi Shaw and Co make it four? The 'Men in Blue' have been phenomenal in this tournament and is currently unbeaten so far. Not only that, they have won each of their matches convincingly. India outclassed the hosts earlier in their first game by handing them a 100-run defeat. After that, it was a cakewalk till the final. The one-sided match against Pakistan in the semi-final proved that they are built for the kill.

Indian batsmen have been in top form with skipper Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill producing match-winning performances throughout. Speedsters Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti have been the main highlight of the tournament, impressing with their 140+deliveries at constant intervals. Anukul Roy is the pick of the bowlers for India with 12 scalps in 5 games. In spite of their dominant performance throughout, captain Prithvi Shaw feels that the hosts will put a great challenge in the pinnacle clash. 'They (Australia) are a good side, it will be challenging for us even though they have lost against us in the first game,' confessed Prithvi ahead of the all-important final. Regarding the matter, he said, 'The 100-run loss does not bother me at all. A grand final is a different contest, anything can happen.' India and Australia each have won the tournament thrice; it will be a big opportunity for both the teams to win their fourth title and become the first ever to do so.
