5 BOLD predictions for Tokyo 2020 Olympics

From how many medals India will win in Tokyo to which athlete will win which colour here are five bold predictions for Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

#2 PV Sindhu will NOT win a medal in Tokyo

There, I have said it. One of India’s most favourite medal prospects, PV Sindhu might have to return home empty handed from Tokyo.

Of course, she is the reigning World Champion, she is the Rio Olympic silver medallist, she is the best shuttler India has produced. But if one takes a look at her form, it is not easy to see that her consistency has dipped enormously. Also, the competition in women’s singles is also very difficult.

Beating Tai Tzu Ying (as we saw in the PBL) could prove to be extremely difficult for Sindhu. Moreover, the Olympics are being held in Japan this year which means the Japanese shuttlers will get the added advantage of playing at home. The likes of Akane Yamaguchi, Nozomi Okuhara will be looking to give their all to win a medal at home. Then, there are the Chinese and Korean shuttlers who have been doing all so well in the international circuit.
