India's ace shuttler P V Sindhu storms into the final of the women's singles event of the BWF World Championship defeating World no. 3 Chinese Chen Yu Fei on Saturday. The 23-year-old Indian dominated the proceedings to beat her fourth-seeded opponent 21-7, 21-14. This is Sindhu's third consecutive entry into the final of the BWF World Championship after she finished with silver medals in 2017 and 2018.

In the first game, Sindhu exuded confidence with her cross-court smashes and immaculate drop shots to take the lead to 8-2. Amassing consecutive points in a row the game reached its half-way mark with Sindhu leading 11-3. Sindhu's prowess continued after the break as she took the lead to 17-4. Diligently covering all four corners of the court Sindhu made 19-6 and eventually finishing the first game 21-7.

The second game started off with neck-to-neck contest between the two. The Chinese regained composure going toe-to-toe with the world no. 5 making it 3-3. Successive points took Sindhu to 8-5 and eventually to 17-9. A brilliant cross-court move took Sindhu to 19-10. Yu Fei picked two points in a row by but Sindhu slammed a brilliant smash to make it 20-12 and finished off 21-14.

Sindhu will face the winner of the second semi-final between Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon and seeded-three Nozomi Okuhara in the final on Sunday.
