Nearly four months after Harsimran 'Honey' Kaur announced her commitment to the program, San Diego Women's Basketball made it official on 2020 'National Signing Day'.

The 6'4" forward is one of four players that the University of San Diego signed to NLIs (National Letter of Intent), head coach Cindy Fisher announced. California natives Kylie Horstmeyer and Kristin Williams, and Colorado native Courtney Wristen are the other three signees that the program confirmed the Class of 2025.

"Honey is a very skilled and talented player who will bring a unique presence to our inside game," San Diego women's basketball Cindy Fisher said. "Her size and ability to play in and out is going to create a lot of mismatches for our opponents. Honey's bubbly personality and love for the sport is contagious, and she is such a fun-spirited person."

Since the start of 2019, Kaur has been one of the best NBA Academy India performing prospects - male and female.

The reigning Camp MVP of the NBA Academy India Women's Program, she made history, in November last year, when became the first prospect from the NBA Academy Women's Program to be invited to the NBA Global Academy in Canberra, Australia. After participating as one of only three Indian prospects at the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp at the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, she was invited to the NBA Global Academy for a second time.

"On behalf of NBA Academy India, I would like to congratulate Honey on this amazing accomplishment," said Blair Hardiek, the Global Director for the NBA Academy's Women's Program. "USD is getting one of the greatest competitors I have ever had the privilege to coach. She has a well-rounded skill set and can play inside out. This paired with her refuse-to-lose attitude makes her a threat on both ends of the court."

Currently attending school at Central Pointe Christian Academy in Kissimmee, Florida, Kaur is among the top rising young stars of Indian basketball's women's division.

At the time of the announcement, she is set to become the fourth prospect from the NBA Academy India Women's program to go on to play college basketball in the United States after Sanjana Ramesh, Vaishnavi Yadav, and Khushi Dongre.
