5-year-old sets World Record for skating under fire

In a stellar moment for her and Andhra Pradesh, 5-year-old Rishita recently set a new World Record for the longest limbo fire skating. She managed to guide her way through several rods that were set on fire and places on cones.

She did this feat under the guidance and supervision of her coach, Lavanya and cleared all the hurdles with ease by skating at a total height of 8 inches and 20 metres above the ground. Officials from the Vajra World Records were present at the scene in order to verify and witness the entire event.

Limbo Skating essentially requires contestant to spread themselves out parallel to the ground and maintain the pose while skating under certain obstacles. The obstacles are usually placed at an extremely low height which makes it tough to navigate through.

This challenge is otherwise virtually impossible for people to attempt given that it requires an immense amount of flexibility, coordination and strength. Moreover, limbo skating done under fire poses a serious risk as well as any sudden movement could lead to severe burns or a serious injury.
