With less than a month left for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games to start, the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) has finally announced its squad for the mega event. The Basketball competition will be an 8-nation affair which will begin on April 5 and conclude on 15th of the same. India is scheduled to play Jamaica on 5th April which will be followed by the tie against Malaysia two days on the 9th. The Asian outfit will play their last group stage match against New Zealand on 8th April. If India manages to get through to the knockout stages by finishing in the top two out of four, they will straight away play in the quarterfinals and will play the bottom-placed teams of Pool 'A'. Then, a win will ensure them a ticket to the semi-final and a possible medal hope.
