Bengaluru FC will be aiming for a win in their first ever Indian Super League season when they face Chennayin FC on Saturday at the Shree Kanteerava Stadium. This will be the first time that the final of the ISL will be contested among teams from South India. The Sunil Chhetri led side has been phenomenal this season, topping the points table with an accumulation of 40 with 13 wins and a draw from their quota of 18 matches in the group stages. Venezuelan recruit Miku has been the most effective player this season, scoring 14 goals this season and playing a big part in Bengaluru's campaign. Indian winger Udanta Singh will also play a key role in the final, his speedy runs along the flanks often create a threat to the defence of the opponents. Sunil Chhetri, Miku and Udanta Singh formed the best-attacking force of the season and would be eager to see off the season with a win against Chennayin FC and claiming rights on the ISL trophy in their debut season. Chennaiyin FC's hopes will rest on their talismanic striker Jeje Lalpekhlua and game maker Raphael Augusto. Jeje has scored a total of 9 goals this season, but the fact which makes him a dangerous player is that he always makes it special on big occasions. The 'Mizo Sniper' is a big match player and what better place to showcase his talent than the ISL final. Brazilian Raphael Augusto is the main livewire in the midfield for the Chennai-based club and has the ability to control the swing of play and distribute the balls towards the forwards. The Abhishek Bachchan owned team will be eyeing its second ISL trophy after their maiden triumph in the 2015 season. https://twitter.com/chaturap/status/974162759586893824 This was the biggest ever Indian Super League season with 10 teams fighting for the title. Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC made their debut this year, while the former made it to the finals, Jamshedpur FC finished at the fifth spot and slipping out on a semi-final berth. It has been a very entertaining season, and hopefully the final will provide a perfect ending to the Indian Super League! The match will kick-off at 8 pm at the Shree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru and will be shown on various Star Sports channels.
