Indian contingent has displayed an outstanding performance in Peru at Para Badminton International 2020 with 15 medals to display, seven of them being gold.

Indian badminton star Pramod Bhagat won two gold at the event one in men's singles and the other in doubles. Other than Bhagat's excellent display of badminton, there were many others to win gold at the event. Suhas L Y in men's singles SL4 category, Krishna Nagar in men's singles in SS6 category and Nagar also won gold in mixed doubles in the same category, Bhagat and Manoj Sarkar in men's doubles in SL3-SL4 category, Premkumar Ale in mixed doubles in WH1-WH2 category and Rajkumar and Rakesh Pandey in men's doubles SU5 category.

Silver medals were bagged by Sukant Kadam in men's singles SL4 category, Abu Hubaida in mixed doubles WH1-WH2 category, Nitesh Kumar in men's singles SL3, Parul Parmar in women's singles SL3 category and Parmar and Palak Kohli in women's doubles in SL3-SU5 category.

World champion Manushi Joshi settled for bronze in women's singles SL3 category along with Tarun Dhillon in men's singles and men's doubles along with Nitesh.

The tournament lasted from 16 February to 23 February in Limba, Peru where India went all in with the players and took a large team for the International challenge.
