The Delhi Technological University (DTU) is keen on ensuring that the proverbial Jack does not become a dull boy burdened with only work and no opportunity to play. The fifth-best government engineering college in the country comes together annually to promote the spirit of sports through its Sports Fest — Aahvaan 2020, which is the largest inter-college sports and cultural festival in North India. Taking place from 21st to the 23rd of February, Aahavan 2020 attracts budding sportsmen from across 100 top colleges of the nation, including the IIT’s, BIT’s, NIT’s and even VIT Vellore.

Boasting of an illustrious set of alumni, the DTU has honed famous personalities like Sushant Singh Rajput, who portrayed the role of Ishan, a cricket-enthusiast in Kai Po Che, before donning the shirt of India’s most successful captain, MS Dhoni, in the much-acclaimed biopic, MS Dhoni: An Untold Story. Other than Rajput, popular novelist, Durjoy Dutta, and Paytm founder, Vijay S Sharma, also crowd the reputed list.

DTU has always been known for imparting equal attention to education as well as sports and has done a remarkable job in promoting the culture of sports through the previous editions of Aahvan, as well. Leaving behind a short, yet powerful legacy, Aahvan has been a dedicated effort towards highlighting sports as well as culture through the 3-day extravaganza at DTU’s 164 acres wide campus at Rohini.
