Not even 150 days left for the Olympics and the Indian athletes are trying their best to make the final cut for the summer games.

Indian triple jumper Arpinder Singh took home gold in the 40th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) inter-unit athletics meet, organised by Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on 26 February.

Singh secured the win with a leap of 15.70m. Yet to start his season, the Asian Games gold medalis will hope to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics in the coming days. In the 110m hurdles, Siddhanth Thingalaya won the yellow metal with a timing of 14.63 seconds reports The New Indian Express.

Arpinder is yet to come up with his personal best of 17. 17m. He has been far from his best that came in 2018. 27-year-old athlete is ranked 68 in the world and need to be in top 30 for a the Olympic selection.
